Today I learned that Blake Snyder, author of Save the Cat!, passed away on August 4th. More than just an author/screenwriter, Blake was a teacher with a passion for helping aspiring writers be the best they could be.

Last year I submitted a film to The Doorpost Film Project, an online film contest seeking to engender films that take a deeper/meaningful look at life and truth. I had a good time and somehow my film was in the top 75 films of the contest from nearly 300 entries.
